Incubus and Lı¯ve co-headlining

Win double pass to iconic rock double-header Kiwi concert

-

Well, there’s a turn up for the books. Folks who visited Goodvibes Promotions website as a result of last week’s competition obviously had buttons pushed (in a good way) and felt inspired to comment on the fast-approaching Lı¯ve and Incubus co-headline show.

Eliciting from the ‘I remember when’ department such comments as:

Lı¯ve played at the NSEC way back on 30 April, 1997!

Incubus played at the North Shore Events Centre on 30 March, 2004.

A brilliant Kiwi band, Eight, opened for Incubus in 2004 and how cool is it that they’ve managed to get duo Midwave Breaks to support Incubus this time around as the pair — singer-songwriter Bruce Conlon and drummer (and also a member of Supergroove) Paul Russell — are both former members of Eight.

This is shaping as a reunion tour for bands and fans alike and will be one massive night of rock!

We could bang on about Gold and Platinum album sales but you already know all that stuff because you are ones who bought them, over 23 million of them for each band in fact, and in the process elevated both of these iconic bands to the revered status they now hold in rock history.

And, thanks to the folks at Goodvibes Promotions we’re offering you the chance to pick up a Standing GA Double Pass to see this incredible line up Lı¯ve. You can get up close and personal and witness two of the greatest rock bands on planet Earth.

Witness Lı¯ve serve up such popular hits as their biggest single Lightning Crashes (which was No.1 at Modern Rock Radio for 10 consecutive weeks), I Alone, All Over You and Lakini’s Juice, which Lı¯ve on today as classics on rock radio.

Add in other great hits, fan favourites and popular deep cuts such as The Dolphins Cry, Selling The Drama, They Stood Up For Love, Pillar Of Davidson, Ghost, Turn My Head and Overcome to name but a few and you will be rocking till you drop – what a repertoire.

Fun fact: Lı¯ve’s album Throwing Copper is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

Grammy nominated coheadliners Incubus have such instantly recognisable high-flying tracks as Nice To Know You, Anna Molly, Are You In, Pardon Me, Stellar, Dig, Wish You Were Here and Drive – all being regularly served up during their live performances to satiate their fans and the curious alike with that inimitable Incubus sound.

With Ed Kowalczyk from Lı¯ve and Brandon Boyd from Incubus both lamenting that it’s been way too long since they were here, one can sense the excitement building from the two bands about sharing a stage together for the first time and reconnecting with old friends and making new ones.

The electric vibe emanating from the pair is a great indication that this is going to be a night to remember and a show you will never forget!
