Take That to NZ

Win a double pass to Brit-pop icons in Auckland

-

Ared-letter day is looming for Kiwi fans of British pop icons Take That. Yes folks, mark your calendars because the much anticipated and long-awaited return of one of Britain’s most popular groups has been announced and they’ll be playing Spark Arena on Thursday, November 14.

Better still we have a double pass to give away to a pair of lucky readers.

Not seen here since they wowed fans in November 2017 on their first ever visit to Aotearoa New Zealand, Take That have proven that they are as relevant today as they were when they burst onto the scene from their humble beginnings in Manchester in 1990.

Their latest album release, This Life, debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and earned the biggest firstweek sales for a British act in 2023, with 116,000 chart sales, 97 per cent of which were on physical formats.

This Life sold the highest number of physical CD's in 2023, with more than 100,000 units — a nod to ‘formats past’ with a definite eye to the fu

ture.

It was the biggest selling album from a UK artist in 2023, outselling the whole Top 25 combined, and has given up some great tunes in Windows, Brand New Sun, This Life and One More Word.

All sit comfortably with their existing hits and fan favourites which include Pray, The Flood, Back For Good, Greatest Day, Shine, Patience, Never Forget, Rule The World, These Days, Relight My Fire, Said It All and A Million Love Songs to name but a few that have been enthralling enamoured audiences of recent times.

Take That are renowned for their huge productions and incredible live shows.

Here’s what Sarah Kidd from Ambientlight had to say about their 2017 show: Of course the absolutely stunning light show – one of the best that has been seen at the arena in quite some time – and an outstanding performance from the backing band undoubtedly went a long way in adding to the authenticity of the overall performance.

Take That could have easily leaned on their cult status and delivered less, but in true English style they instead delivered on their promise of giving the fans a night to remember.

Following the renaissance of her early-2000's hit Murder On The Dancefloor, pop legend Sophie Ellis-Bextor will join Take That at Spark Arena.

With her hit single in the spotlight once again, racing up the charts following its inclusion in the epic final scene of much talked about film Saltburn, and with other great songs such as Music Gets The Best Of Me, Crying At The Discotheque, Groovejet, Get Over You, Not Giving Up On Love, Heartbreak and Bittersweet ready to be served up, she is the ideal fit to ready the crowd for the main attraction.

How could you want to be anywhere else!
