High standard impresses ag day judges

Best of the best on show at event

- Marie Peterson Te Puke Boys’ and Girls’ Agricultural Club secretary

What a wonderful day this year’s agricultural club group day was. The weather was just perfect for all and all competitors’ animals were of a high standard.

The judges stated they were very impressed with the conduct of competitors and also in the way they all presented their animals.

We have to remind ourselves that at this event the animals participating are the best of the best and competition is high. Receiving a prize is the ultimate of being the total best.

The committee is very grateful to sponsors as they really help make our event so successful. Once again, those families who made the day that social event for reminiscing of the previous years, proved to be successful.

Sponsors who supported us were: FMG, ASB Bank, New World, Trevelyan’s, Countdown, Fonterra, R & R Tractors, Wealleans, Mcdonalds Open Country Dairy, Mackenzie Pies, Seeka Kiwifruit Industries Ltd, Gavin

Lecky Transport Ltd, FIL/GEA , Te Puke Veterinary Centre Ltd and several anonymous donators.

We look forward to next year where all students and schools will show how in 100 years ago we have progressed.
