Week beginning November 13 1917 — November 20: Mcdowell’s Hall closes. It is to be refurbishe­d at a cost of £250 and to be reopened as a picture theatre. 1955 — November 17: A new Plunket Room building is opened in Pongakawa next to the school grounds.

1967 — November 16: The Pukehina Beach Ratepayers and
