School holds E-sports champs
Te Puke High School held its annual E-sports championships recently.
The five-strong team of Cody Parker, Kees Davie, George Michael, Seb Rollinson and Liam Jacobs won the championship.
It was the second victory for team capitan Cody, who was also in the winning team in 2020. He is very passionate about E-sports.
“I don’t care what I have to do to win, I don’t care what I have to sacrifice, in this world winning is everything. And in the end I’m going to win,” he says.
The championships wouldn’t be the success they are without the school’s IT team of Ben and Armand and MC Josh.
The event was held in the school’s learning centre but next year it will be in the school hall with predictions it will be bigger and better.
The event was sponsored by PB Technology who provided over $1000 worth of prizes.
