Te Puke club’s champs decided

e Puke Tennis Club held its mixed doubles championships recently. The weather held up nicely and some good games were played. Play was in a round robin format consisting of five pairings.

The winners this year were new member Philip Meyer and Lindy Underwood who played the final against Dan Schluter and Marieke Smal, winning in two sets. The play off for third place was a closely fought match with Jenni Hampshire and Bruce Wilkins playing Leanne Ryan and Marco Partridge with Leanne and Marco winning their tie-breaker.
