Family saved
Two pet dogs have been credited with saving a Dunedin family from an early-morning blaze. A fire broke out on the verandah of a Flagstaff-Whare Rd house, in North Taieri, while the family-of-four slept about 4.10am yesterday. The blaze caused extensive damage to the property, leaving the family homeless for Christmas. The cause of the fire was under investigation, but was not suspicious.
