Railay Beach

-

Deep in the Anderman Sea lies arguably one of the world’s most beautiful beaches. Railay Beach is isolated from the mainland by a peninsula and is accessed by boat from nearby Krabi. You do have to run the gauntlet along a pathway to get there, negotiating monkeys hungry for a snack but it’s worth the trouble. Don’t worry about taking your lunch. Just wade out to the longboat that cruises up at lunchtime. A local Thai cooks up all manner of gorgeous dishes on board for a few baht. If you fancy more than a swim and a liedown, there are towering limestone cliffs to scale should you feel the need.
