MEET THE NEW BOYS

-

Dylan Collier, 22 A former Warriors under-20 wing after trying his hand at union’s rival code for two years before after leaving King’s College in Auckland. A product of Opotiki, he returned to union with Waikato last year and quickly caught Gordon Tietjens’ eye with his size and pace. Rieko Ioane, 17 Younger brother of Akira, who also made his New Zealand debut at the Wellington sevens tournament last year. Big, tall and fast, unlike his loose forward brother he plays centre in 15s. Beaudein Waaka, 21 Compact and quick, Waaka is a bit of a magician with ball in hand. Give him half a step and he’ll shoot through like he’s been fired out of a gun. Could be a comer. Jack Goodhue, 19 A Northland boy who became headboy at Mt Albert Grammar in 2013 before heading to Lincoln University and quickly breaking into Canterbury’s provincial side last year. Plays hooker in 15s. Twin brother Josh was a New Zealand Schools’ lock, while older brother Cam plays for the Worcester Warriors in England.
