Lying low

Two insurance workers involved in a Friday night office romp appear to have stayed away from work while their bosses investigate. Marsh Ltd said yesterday the company was ‘‘working through it internally’’ and would not comment further. When phoned on their office lines yesterday, colleagues said the man and woman were ‘‘out of the office’’. The Marsh Ltd employees, who left the lights on during their romantic encounter in the Papanui Rd office, could lose their jobs or at least face formal warnings, employment lawyers say. Carlton Bar and Eatery patrons across the road posted photos of the incident on social media and they were quickly identified. A source close to the man involved, who holds a managerial role in the company, said he was married with children.
