Wood on mend after fall

Broadcaster Susan Wood is recovering at home after suffering a serious head injury in a fall at her home. Wood was taken to Auckland Hospital on January 10. Her sons Alex and Matt said she was recovering after being discharged from hospital and was rehabilitating. ‘‘We thank all involved in her care at Auckland Hospital for their dedication, their expertise and their humanity. The treatment of our mother has been outstanding.’’ Wood is one of the current hosts of TVNZ’s programme and is a stand-in presenter for Newstalk ZB.
