Ko’s rise boosts online service

-

Off the back of Lydia Ko’s new status as the best in the world, Coliseum golf is expecting more people to sign up to its online service, which has the broadcasting rights to the LPGA in New Zealand. ‘‘We’d expect people to be signing on anyway but it’s definitely driving a lot of interest,’’ Coliseum chief executive Tim Martin said. ‘‘I think with Lydia having such a great start to the year, we’d love to provide even more access, we’d love to get some of it on free-to-air TV, we’re still working on that.’’ It comes as Kiwi businessman and sports production expert Ian Taylor asked for help in getting a live stream of Ko playing at the New Zealand Women’s Open.
