Digger flip holds up traffic

A truck with a trailer carrying a digger flipped over on State Highway 1 about 2pm yesterday at the Plimmerton roundabout near Porirua. Police said it appeared a digger had fallen off the back and the trailer had tipped. A lane was closed to traffic for about two hours while cranes were brought in to clear the vehicles. Emergency services at the scene said no-one was hurt. By 4.15pm, NZTA reported traffic was flowing freely.
