Defence boss off to Europe for Prince Charles meet-up

Defence Force chief Lieutenant General Tim Keating is heading to Europe for a series of meetings, including one with Prince Charles. Keating is taking part in a meeting of European Union Chiefs of Defence, which will discuss current issues facing the armed forces of the EU. His talks with Prince Charles will cover of issues related to New Zealand’s Defence Force, with which the Prince of Wales holds ceremonial positions. Lastly, he will meet his counterpart in Ireland, Vice Admiral Mark Mellett.
