Models pay $400 for $20 bag

-

Model Sophia Nash has been discharged without conviction for the theft of a knock-off Christian Dior handbag from a Salvation Army store. Nash was found guilty of the theft in March having earlier undergone a judge-alone trial for the theft of the $20 handbag. Appearing in Auckland District Court yesterday, Nash’s lawyer Karl Trotter argued his client should be given a discharge without conviction. Judge Nicola Mathers noted the offending was relatively minor, and that a conviction would not match the offending. She ordered Nash pay $400 to the Salvation Amy as part of being discharged without conviction.
