Enough’s enough on cathedral

What a drawn-out and expensive saga it’s been on Christ Church Cathedral. The people who could have been fed, clothed or counselled with the amount of money wasted on reports and evaluations done the cathedral is sickening.

Religion and poilitics, is there really a difference? Demolish it in two weeks and build an area of remembrance to those whose lives have been lost due to the earthquakes.

The building itself was impressive in its day, but due to the dwindling numbers of followers of the religion and the uncertainty of another major earthquake, it is time to say enough is enough and use the energies involved in trying to save it elsewhere, in another, more productive humanitarian cause.
