As a passionate proponent of New Zealand fashion, I was very excited to clock British beauty Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in head to toe Georgia Alice.
The young designer’s Memory blazer, $999, and flares, $569, tap into a whole bunch of current trends - double-breasted blazers, grey check and wide leg/flared pants in particular.
A suit like this gives plenty of mileage too, worn as a set for the biggest impact, or choose either just the jacket (try with jeans or a pencil skirt) or pants (cute with a printed tee or smart with a classic white blouse) to play things down.
RHW has sealed the deal with a bumbag (if you’re brave) and pepped up an otherwise quite understated look with lashing of red lipstick (she apparently loves NARS Velvet Matte lip pencil in Mysterious Red) and barely-there clear sandals.
Walk on the wild side
Leopard print is well and truly back on the style scene, and the most luxurious, statementmaking way to wear it is in faux fur coat form.
Huntington-Whiteley has gone all black with the rest of her ensemble to keep the striking animal print grounded and sophisticated, and has cinched it closed with her current favourite accessory, a bum bag, which cleverly serves as both bag and belt.
Off-duty model
This look screams off-duty model in the best kind of way - an insouciant yet luxe shearling bomber jacket (hers is Acne Studios), slick red leather pants (slim jeans would also work if leather’s a bit much), a simple grey turtleneck to soft the look, and a pair of bangon-trend white skinny-heeled ankle boots.
