Synthetic cannabis bust

Police have arrested a driver who had 97 individual zip-lock bags of synthetic cannabis after a routine traffic stop in Hawke’s Bay. At about 1pm on Wednesday, police stopped a driver on Hastings’ Flaxmere Ave. After being stopped, the driver, a 25-year-old man, tried to throw a bag containing drugs and cash back into the car. Police then searched the car. The man was arrested and is due to appear in court facing charges of possession of psychoacti­ve substances for supply, cannabis possession and driving offences.
