White House email use ‘not like Clinton scandal’

Ivanka Trump, the daughter of the US president, has denied that her use of a private email account while in the White House is comparable to the Hillary Clinton email scandal. Trump, who serves as an adviser to her father, said there was ‘‘no equivalency’’ between her situation and that of Clinton, who lost the 2016 presidential election days after the FBI announced it was investigating newly discovered emails sent to or by the Democratic presidential candidate. Clinton was repeatedly attacked by Donald Trump over her use of a private email server.
