Sale of Tip Top

For years the received wisdom about our milk products has been that we need to produce more refined products rather than just selling bulk ingredients.

Now I hear that one of the few examples where farmers (Fonterra) actually own the whole supply chain from cow to consumer (Tip Top) is being sold.

Surely this should be the last asset to be sold – we put in maximum value and recoup all the profit. And the farmers pay the people who make these decisions millions? Something is seriously wrong.
