Caught out on dash cam

A driver’s dash cam footage has captured a hectic minute of dangerous driving on Remutaka Hill Rd, north of Wellington. The footage, taken on Monday, shows a series of dangerous overtaking manoeuvres across double-yellow lines on the windy pass, between Featherston and Upper Hutt. The sequence begins when a motorcyclist overtakes the filming driver, crossing the no-passing lines and narrowly avoiding an oncoming vehicle in the opposite lane. A short time later, two more motorcyclists, followed by a car, also overtake the driver while crossing the nopassing lines. The two motorcyclists then overtake two more vehicles shortly before a blind corner. The driver who took the footage has submitted the video to police.
