Remutaka Hill Rd closure

The busy Remutaka Hill road north of Wellington will be closed for 10 nights during March for maintenance. The NZ Transport Agency said the section of State Highway 2, between Featherston and Upper Hutt, would be closed for ‘‘essential’’ maintenance. The first closure will be March 3-8 and the second March 24-29. The road will be closed from 9pm until 5am during those periods. Work would be done overnight to reduce disruptions, allow better quality work, and increase safety of maintenance crews, the agency said.
