Unruly family’s car crash

An unruly family of tourists have made their mark on South Auckland after crashing and abandoning a Honda Odyssey on a Ma¯ngere street. The car, which was parked on yellow lines on Thomas St yesterday afternoon, had a blown-out left front tyre and inflated airbags. KFC rubbish, an open jar of hazelnut spread and a deflated pool toy were the only signs of the tourists left in the vehicle. Witnesses from the nearby Wof and Tyres on Massey Rd said they heard a ‘‘massive bang’’. They then saw members of the family leaving on foot. ‘‘They had taken all of their stuff out of the car and were walking up the street.’’
