I’m doing some work in a cafe on Lambton Quay, and I just saw the Speaker of the House of Representatives walk past in his shirtsleeves, eating lunch out of a paper bag. Long may it continue.

Wellington needs more green spaces in the CDB!

@agentK

Sitting outside in Wellington while eating a banh mi. Next to me a group of 20-something yrs old women talking about their D&D group and that their dungeon master required everyone to draw their characters etc. Sometimes I have hope for the world. This was one of those moments.

Anyone who can’t handle Wellington’s heat is just weak and must be eliminated as soon as possible.

I think everything is fine and then see little things, like flags at half mast. The memories come flooding back.

@Rachinthetron

Sitting outside the Beehive waiting to go in for a meeting. 5 metres away is James Shaw sporting a black eye and two policeman carrying rifles. It’s a different world from a week ago.

@NZLainey

Lambton Quay is awash with pretty sun dresses. Florals. Stunning silks. And sunshine. Autumn in Welly.

Sorry to hear about the Wellington Library. I wrote a goodly part of my first novel in there. I hope a solution is found quickly.
