Six of the best

- Cricket

Surrey’s Will Jacks smacked six sixes in an over on his way to a 25-ball century in Dubai on Thursday (NZ time). The ton won’t make the record books as cricket’s fastest as the preseason T10 match against Lancashire wasn’t an officially recognised encounter. The record for the quickest century is 30 balls, set by West Indian Chris Gayle in the 2013 IPL. Jacks made 105 off 30 balls, with 11 sixes and eight fours. Six sixes came in one over from Stephen Parry, which also included a no-ball, making 37 from the over. Surrey made 176-3 in 10 overs and Lancashire replied with 81-9.
