Teen admits owning shooting terror video
Police have dropped their allegation a 16-yearold distributed the Christchurch terror attack video. However, at a Youth Court hearing the teen admitted possession of the livestream of the March 15 killings at the city’s Al Noor Mosque. Prosecutor Deirdre Elsmore sought to amend the charge to an offence under the Films, Videos, and Publications Act, of possession of the video with the knowledge that it was objectionable. The youth did not deny that charge and Judge Brian Callaghan remanded him on continued bail till July 30 for a family group conference that will suggest a plan for how the case should be handled.
