Cullen moves to Australia

-

Kayla Cullen’s Silver Ferns career could be over. The 47-test wing defence-goal defence isn’t returning to the south Auckland-based Northern Stars in 2020, making the permanent move to Sydney to live with league-playing fiance´ Shaun Johnson. The Kiwis halfback is in the first season of his three-year deal with the Cronulla Sharks, having played 162 games for the Warriors between 2011-18. Stars coach Kiri Wills tried to get Cullen back, but she was eager to be closer to Johnson, having found it difficult being apart this season. Cullen could be granted an exemption to play for the Ferns in the future if she competes in Super Netball, as happened with Laura Langman and Maria Folau this year.
