Rore upstaged on debut

Less than two weeks ago, they were combining to lift the Silver Ferns to their first World Cup title in 16 years. On Saturday, Katrina Rore was in the enemy camp in her debut in Australia’s Super Netball against Ferns coach Noeline Taurua and captain Laura Langman, who are involved with the Sunshine Coast Lightning. Taurua and Langman gained bragging rights with two-time defending champions Lightning prevailing 50-48 over Rore’s New South Wales Swifts in a top-of-the table thriller. Rore, who signed with the Swifts this week for the remainder of the Super Netball season, was injected into the action at wing defence to begin the second quarter.
