Bullet holes in house

Police are investigating after multiple bullet holes were reportedly found in the side of a Lower Hutt home. The home, on Waiwhetu Rd, Waterloo had bullet holes in the side and windows but no bullets had yet been found, police said. Police were called to the scene at 11.38am yesterday and were investigating. Two holes could be seen in the windows of the property yesterday afternoon. James Pottananickel lives opposite the house and said he heard three loud bangs around 3.20am yesterday morning before an engine started revving and a vehicle, sped away. Another nearby neighbour heard what she thought could have been five shots in quick succession in the early hours of the morning.
