New owner for The Bresolin

-

The building that housed Wellington restaurant The Bresolin has a new owner in the hospitality industry. The Willis St bar-restaurant, owned by brothers Lorenzo and Leonardo Bresolin, was forced to close due to the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. Yesterday, Leonardo Bresolin confirmed the building had sold but was unable to provide more details. Bayleys agent James Higgie said while details were confidential until settlement, the property, which sold by tender, had received ‘‘a number of bids’’ and went to a buyer in the hospitality industry. ‘‘It’s a positive thing – the hospitality industry is alive and well,’’ he said. The twostorey 1890 building was originally located on the corners of Willis and Abel Smith streets.
