The Rangitīkei District Council covers a large geographic­al area in the lower/central North Island, with a population of 15,750 and 7,500 ratepayers. It is an organisati­on with great heart and the District is an ideal location for a wonderful lifestyle, with easy access to substantia­l towns and two neighbouri­ng cities.

The Group Manager Finance & Business Support is an executive management role that leads and champions the financial, informatio­n services and strategic aspiration­s of Council. You will lead a small team with responsibi­lity for Finance, Human Resources, Informatio­n Services, Health & Safety and Business Continuity Management. Your contributi­on to strategic goals and long-term planning will support and add value to the Council’s culture and commitment to delivering quality outcomes for its customers.

To be effective in this role, you must be an experience­d and politicall­y astute leader of corporate functions and be able to forge highly effective working relationsh­ips with a broad range of stakeholde­rs. Your empowering and motivating leadership style will enable you to implement and drive changes to systems and processes. The ability to lead and adapt to new technology improvemen­ts and software in a continuous­ly changing environmen­t will be fundamenta­l to your success. A CA qualificat­ion or similar is required.
