Reward prompts multiple calls

-

A ‘‘number of people’’ have come forward since a $100,000 police reward for new information on a toddler who went missing near Queenstown 29 years ago was offered. Amber-Lee Rose Cruickshank was last seen at a house at Kingston, on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, on October 17, 1992. Her body has never been found and the case remains an enduring mystery. Police announced on Tuesday they were putting up a $100,000 reward in the hope someone would come forward with the information they needed to answer the many questions. A police spokeswoman said yesterday ‘‘a number of people’’ had contacted police since the reward offer and police would be following up with callers and assessing any information provided.
