Ardern’s signed doodle up for sale

-

A signed doodle by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has attracted a bid of $4000 in a charity auction for Harbour Hospice. The white chalk pen work on black paper was listed on Trade Me to raise funds for Harbour Hospice. The organisation provides free palliative care to those with life-limiting illnesses and their families in Hibiscus Coast, Warkworth and the North Shore. A near-identical artwork sold for $6700 to raise funds for Wellington’s Pablos Art Studio last year. A bidding war between two potential buyers was under way yesterday evening, with 121 bids already placed prior to the auction closing. The artwork shows the year 2020 replaced with 2021, along with the words ‘‘Let’s try that again,’’ a reference to the nation coming out of level 4 lockdown last year.
