Summer wedding planned

-

Jacinda Ardern and Clarke Gayford have set a date for their wedding, but don’t worry if you haven’t received an invitation – they haven’t been sent yet. The prime minister told Coast Radio yesterday that the couple planned to marry this summer. ‘‘That doesn’t mean we’ve told anyone yet, so I feel like we should probably put some invites out.’’ Confirmation that a wedding date has been set comes just over two years after the couple became engaged, at Easter 2019. Ardern said she and TV host Gayford were unlikely to have a traditional wedding, adding that, at 40, she felt ‘‘a bit too old to have a bridal party’’. ‘‘I feel like because I’m getting on a bit, I just need to forgo it.’’
