Funeral procession arrests

Seven people are facing charges after police halted a ‘‘gang-related funeral procession’’ and removed weapons from a separate group of gang members further down the road. Police said they arrested a group of gang members and associates near Nuhaka in Hawke’s Bay yesterday as they were monitoring a gangrelated funeral procession as it was travelling north between Wairoa and Gisborne.
