Parker ‘lucky to win’

Punching statistics show how lucky Joseph Parker was to claim a split points decision over Dereck Chisora in their heavyweight fight in Manchester. Parker’s win continues to be disputed, and the numbers revealed from the 12 tough rounds will only strengthen calls for a rematch. Statistics show Chisora threw more punches (613 to Parker’s 593) and, crucially, was far more accurate in landing body punches (169-59). While their successful jabs were pretty even (50-48 to Chisora), the big Brit landed significantly more power punches (195-133).
