Meet our reporters
First up: Bridie Witton. Bridie is our health reporter, and she's constantly talking to the Capital & Coast DHB, Pharmac, medical professionals and patients. Bridie grew up in Reporoa and started her journalism career at the Rotorua Daily Post – same as me! – before working for the BBC's local democracy reporting service in London. She joined The Dominion Post/Stuff in February last year and has been at the forefront of our coronavirus coverage. I asked Bridie some questions:
What makes a great day at work?
When you know a story would make a difference to someone's life or push the conversation along on an issue. Is fair? Is it moral?
What’s the hardest thing about your job?
It is harder than ever to ask questions and get direct answers from the people making the decisions, who are buffered and protected by communications teams.
Your ideal Wellington weekend?
