The quest for a session ale that tastes as good as the full-strength thing is, for the beer inclined, akin to chasing that proverbial pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. IPAs are known for their big ABVs as well as their punch-you-in-the-face hops, but sometimes – especially if you’ve got to drive later – you’re after a subtler tipple that doesn’t compromise flavour.
