PM reveals secrets behind Neve’s cake

-

Clarke Gayford wowed his social media followers on Sunday when he posted a video of the cake he had made for daughter Neve’s third birthday, yesterday. When Neve was unable to choose between Frozen, Moana and Mickey Mouse themed cakes, Gayford wrote on Twitter, he decided to combine the three. The result was a TV-shaped cake, with films that appeared to be playing on the ‘‘screen’’. There was much debate over exactly how Gayford had pulled off the nifty trick. On TVNZ’s Breakfast yesterday, Gayford’s partner and Neve’s mum, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, cleared it up. ‘‘There is a projector out of shot that you can’t see, discreetly hiding in the top of the dining room wall.’’ Ardern said her fiance´ had not found producing the cake to be a simple task. ‘‘It literally took hours and he has spent more time on a third birthday cake than he has planning our wedding,’’ said the prime minister.
