Kerbs getting attention
Once again kerb replacement has come to our street. Such works are a constant in all the Wellington suburbs. Amazingly, it’s always been a piece-meal process – wouldn’t be more efficient to do the whole street in one hit?
To my eye the kerbs are perfectly fine,
but ageing pipes beneath the kerbs – things you can’t see until water spouts – are in dire need of replacement.
If WCC would put as much resource into the decrepit pipes as kerbing, we would not be faced with billion-dollar major infrastructure repairs to the water system.
