Suppression query

Can someone please explain to me why the prison guard who killed a 70-year-old cyclist still gets name suppression ( Prison guard who killed cyclist sentenced to community work, Nov 9)?

I get that standard procedure by the judiciary for killing someone with your car is a few thousand dollars’ fine and a short suspension of licence. But we should at least get to know who is doing the maiming.
