Police explore 2018 death

Police are asking for further information about the violent death of Hastings man Eddie Peters. Peters was found beaten and bleeding in the driveway of a family member’s home on November 15, 2018, after attending the tangi of a friend, who was a Mongrel Mob member. He died eight days later in hospital. The attack occurred in Diaz Drive but the reasons behind it were not clear, said Detective Senior Sergeant James Keene. Police were hoping new details to be revealed tonight in the TV show Cold Case, TV1 8.30pm, would encourage anyone with information to come forward.
