An end to box kicks

-

As a concerned rugby-watching public, we are all disappointed by watching countless futile halfback box kicks.

This may have cost us victory in the recent England-All Blacks game. Why reduce box kicks?

(1) We lose possession and the opposition counterattack, winning more advantage.

(2) It is boring rugby.

(3) What is the backline for if the halfback keeps box kicking?

(4) We don’t want AFL, we want running rugby.

I have faith and confidence that the backline can do more than a box kick. Nick Humphries, Karori
