Real inconsistency
It appears Ian Simmonds (letters, Nov 23) believes that a) all people under the age of 25 have zero political awareness, and b) the general population over 25 ‘‘understand risk’’ and can make ‘‘moral choices’’ perfectly, which of course is not true.
He then speaks of a ‘‘lack of reasoning and consistency’’ in regards to the advocacy to lower the voting age, when he begins his piece with the issue of lowering the voting age and finishes with the suggestion that if you are under 25 you are unable to make moral choices or understand risk at all. That looks like real inconsistency at work.
