Please get your kids vaccinated

I was shocked to read that 45% of mothers are undecided on whether to have their children vaccinated against human papillomavirus (Nov 25).

The vaccine protects against infection from the types of HPV that cause a number of cancers, including cervical.

My grandmother died of cervical cancer in 1959 after suffering horrific, unbearable and agonising pain due to this disease, which in her case had then spread to other organs.

Please seriously consider the HPV vaccine for your children as this could save their lives and spare them from suffering this horrific disease.
