Doing it tough

-

Sharon Zollner, chief economist at ANZ, commented that doing it tough means only ordering a glass of wine rather than a bottle when you go out to dinner ( ‘Shock and awe’ interest warning, Nov 23).

Disconnected to reality? Most people doing it tough will not be going out to dinner, or maybe even will not be having dinner at all.

I would hope that there was

more empathy by banking senior management in circumstances where banks are clearly not doing it tough, but their customers are. Stephen Jenkins, Khandallah
