Covid criticism wrong
Last Monday, about 9am, I tested positive (RAT) for Covid-19, following a slight feeling of dizziness at my gym that morning. I was otherwise completely asymptomatic. And still was on Friday.
I had a satisfactory conversation with Healthline, followed by a conversation with Covid Healthline, and recorded my result online on the MyCovid web page of the Ministry of Health.
By noon, I had received anti-viral medication, which my wife picked up at a local pharmacy. The pharmacy also checked my present medications with my health centre.
That afternoon I received follow-up telephone calls and texts from the various agencies, offering more advice, and help should I require it. A doctor from my health centre called to check on me. All within the space of just a few hours.
We see a lot of criticism of the Government and its response to the pandemic crisis. My experience suggests this criticism is quite wrong.
I thank the Ministry of Health and its agencies, the Queen St Pharmacy, in Upper Hutt, and Silverstream Health Centre for their help and care.
