The Beach & Boat Fishing Competitio­n, Marsden Cove Marina, February 2019. The largest snapper fishing event in the southern hemisphere, this annual competitio­n attracts anglers from all over. Sunday Markets. There are two long-standing markets in Bream Bay. The Waipu Boutique Market is held 9am-1pm on the second Sunday of the month at the Waipu Coronation Hall. The Marsden Cove Market is held 9am-1pm on the third Sunday of the month at the Marsden Cove Marina. Both boast a variety of handmade crafts, local goods, fanciful foods and creative artists.
