Ambrosia Delicatessen

This café and deli is a real go-to for locals and visitors. Excellent coffee is, of course, one of the drawcards but then there’s also the impressive food offerings, via both a blackboard menu and well-stocked cabinet. Most of the cabinet food is made on the premises and includes crisp rolls stuffed with goodness, salads, scones and slices, with hand-made chocs to finish. There’s also an interesting selection of artisan products from both Europe and New Zealand, an outdoor courtyard and, for those who like to stay permanently connected, free WiFi.
