Paper Road

Tori Perrior and Peter Knapton have pretty singular interests – she has a passion for books and he happens to be besotted by motorbikes. By opening Paper Road in January 2018, they have finally been able to get their respective collections out of their home, give them the display space they deserve and get them into the public eye.

Knapton’s bikes include one of only three hand-built Italian Laverda 500 bikes and it sits beside shelves of rare and collectible books with plenty of technical and engineering reference material.

According to Perrior the big plus for book buyers in this region is that their purchases don’t need recharging or a signal, which makes reading a reliable activity in this area of patchy WiFi and phone coverage. 5 Saunders Street, Owaka.
